Fifth of Five Reasons to Bring Someone With You on Easter Sunday
April 02, 2015
Why should you invite and/or bring someone with you to The Church at West Franklin this Sunday? I want to give you five good reasons, a different one every day this week (click for the first, second, third, and fourth reasons).
Contrary to what most Southern Baptist's may say, LOVE (not reason #3) is the most important reason to bring someone with you Easter Sunday. What do I mean? Well, think about it for a second. If you have a relationship with Jesus - you know where true joy and peace is found. If you have a relationship with Jesus, you have confident hope that you will live forever in His very real presence. If you have a relationship with Jesus - you know what truly satisfies your heart.
If you don't have a relationship with Jesus - none of these things are happening.
Your neighbor without Jesus doesn't know peace or joy.
Your family member without Jesus will be punished forever in a real hell.
Your coworker without Jesus will continue to live life frustrated due to continuous attempts at being satisifed by the world.
You, however, know the way out of these things. You know the way to Life. It's Jesus. To put it negatively, how much do you have to hate someone if you believe these things are true and you don't tell them?
Why should you bring someone with you this Sunday morning? Becuase you love that person and long for them to be in a real and vibrant relationship with the living Jesus. I talked about this at length this past Sunday morning.
I'll see you Sunday morning. We'll celebrate Easter together. I hope to celebrate with people all over our city whom you were compelled to bring with you.
