We’ll take our 18th journey to Chicago this summer as we partner with Reborn Community Church and work alongside Pastor Jamie Thompson in Garfield Park! Our 9-12th grade specific journey will take place July 12-16. Spots are limited to just 40 students, and an application as well as deposit must be received to reserve a place on the trip!

DEPOSIT:  $175 | Required to secure spot

Registration for our Chicago Mission Journey is done through Brentwood’s Focus Mission program. Cost includes transportation, lodging, fellowship activities, and all meals except those while traveling. All steps below must be completed for your student to attend.

ADULTS

Are you an adult interested in leading students in Chicago? We have a limited number of adult spots on this year’s trip, and are specifically in need of adults that feel comfortable driving a large passenger van to and from Chicago as well as around the city.

There will be one in-person training in addition to an online training component. ALL training must be completed to participate. Online training will be e-mailed out after registration has been completed. Save the date below for the in-person training at the Brentwood Campus.

PARENT MEETING

We’ll go over important trip details, the week’s schedule, packing list, and more. This will also be an opportunity to make any final payments and submit all required paperwork before check-in on the day of departure. Please make plans to join us!

REQUIRED FORMS

Please complete and turn in the following forms to your campus student ministry office no later than Sunday, July 4th.

REQUIRED FOR EACH STUDENT or LEADER:

  • Medication Form – if your student has medication. Due at check-in July 12.
  • EPIPEN Form – if your student has an EPIPEN is this form required. Due at check-in July 12.
  • Time Away Form – if your student will not be taking church provided transportation, and/or will be arriving late or leaving early from Chicago. Due no later than Sunday, July 4.

We will be collecting paperwork on the following dates in the Connection Center (Brentwood Campus) with a notary available:

  • Sunday, May 30 | 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sunday, June 27 | 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sunday, June 11 | 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM (Parent Meeting)

**Paperwork can be turned in at any time before July 4, to your campus office.**

COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS

In preparation for our trip to Chicago, we will continue to monitor all information as it relates to COVID-19. We have intentionally made adjustments to this year’s trip to try to account for the need for continued caution. This includes limiting student participants so that we can travel with a smaller group, as well as limiting the sites where we’ll be serving, and eliminating public transportation from our daily travel.

We will provide further clarity on any safety measures required by the city of Chicago as well as our own church requirements as we get closer to the event and have the ability to more accurately determine what precautions will be needed.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you find you need to cancel, please notify Karyn Caldwell in the Student Ministry Office as soon as possible at 615-324-6288 or [email protected] Before Sunday, July 4, you will receive a full refund. After July 4, the deposit is non-refundable (except in circumstances such as the death of a family member or physical illness – including COVID). This is due to trip costs already incurred.
