A Letter from Taylor

Jenai and I, along with our three children, want to express how grateful and excited our family is for the opportunity to be considered to serve at The Church at West Franklin. Throughout this process, the Lord’s leading has been evident, and I am incredibly humbled at the possibility of serving as The Campus and Teaching Pastor at West Franklin.

My hope and prayer, is that together we would continue to engage the whole person with the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ—anywhere, anytime, with anybody—in Franklin, across Middle Tennessee, and beyond.

God is always faithful, and He has been faithful to The Church at West Franklin, and I am confident that He has great plans for the weeks, months, and years ahead. Please know that our family continues to pray daily for your campus, asking the Lord to give clarity, unity, and confidence in His direction. We are excited to meet you and, Lord willing, look forward to becoming part of the church family at West Franklin.

From the West Franklin Campus Pastor Search Team

Over the past several months, our team has been prayerfully seeking the individual God has called to lead the Church at West Franklin. We are deeply grateful for each of you who have been praying alongside us throughout this process. From the very beginning, our greatest hope has been to experience unity as a team, and the Lord has faithfully provided that every step of the way.

We have been continually reminded that God already knows who He has appointed for this role—our responsibility has simply been to seek Him and walk faithfully in obedience.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration. — Isaiah 55:8

As we evaluated each candidate, two guiding priorities remained at the forefront:

  1. That this individual is genuinely called to the Church at West Franklin.
  2. That he is equipped to shepherd our staff and lead our multigenerational congregation into its next season.

Today, we are excited to present Taylor Johnson as our candidate.

Throughout this process, Taylor has consistently demonstrated that he is a strong and natural fit for our campus. In his ministry experience, he has distinguished himself as a capable and faithful leader—serving in a variety of roles and excelling as a communicator, team builder, writer, and shepherd. More importantly, we have seen a genuine calling on his life and a deep love for the Church. It has also been a blessing to witness Taylor and his family’s willingness to follow God’s leading with humility and faith, wherever He may call them. We are confident that you will be encouraged as you come to know them.

The journey that has brought us to this point has been nothing short of God-ordained. Our team is in full unity that Taylor is not only a strong fit, but the right leader for this season at West Franklin.

We are grateful for the opportunity to present him to you and ask that you continue to pray with us—that the Lord would guide our church, bring continued unity, and make His will abundantly clear as we take our next steps together.
