The Special Needs Ministry here at Brentwood Baptist Church seeks to serve families or individuals affected by disability. We strive to welcome all individuals, regardless of need, into God’s family and provide supports for success.

We want to welcome you to our ministry and let you know that you are not alone and you are loved. Please check out all the wonderful opportunities we have for your individual with special needs. We serve preschoolers, which is birth-kindergarten, children, students and adults with special needs. Come by and visit the ministry and feel free to ask questions and take some resources home with you from the resource wall. You are also invited to attend Shepherd’s Flock support group for families and caregivers impacted by disability.

At Brentwood Baptist, our preschool ministry serves babies through kindergartners with special needs. Our goal is to provide opportunities for your preschooler to learn about Jesus at a young age! We strive to support each child in our ministry successfully access their classroom setting with their same-age peers. We provide a teen or adult buddy for each child in our ministry to support inclusion, regardless of disability. The Children’s Ministry at Brentwood Baptist is for children in Grades 1-5. We strive to support each child in our ministry successfully access their classroom setting with their same-age peers. We provide a teen or adult buddy for each child in our ministry to support inclusion, regardless of disability. At Brentwood Baptist, our student ministry is comprised of 6th through 12th graders seeking to grow together in Christ. We strive to support each student in our ministry successfully access their classroom setting with their same-age peers. We provide a teen or adult buddy for each student in our ministry to support inclusion, regardless of disability.

A teaching classroom for students and adults with disabilities is available for students who need additional support accessing their classroom and curriculum. Sensory rooms are also available during each service hour where students can take a break as needed. All students are welcome to experience a time of worship, build relationships, and dwell richly in the Word of God. At Brentwood Baptist, our adult ministry is comprised of individuals with special needs ages 18 and above seeking to grow together in Christ. The adults in this unique ministry have the opportunity to experience Christian fellowship while engaging in worship and biblical discussion. Please begin by completing the intake form.

Our ministry partners with 99 Balloons to provide a monthly respite night called rEcess. We are thrilled to host this night for parents/caregivers so they can go out for a few hours, while we have fun with their children with special needs and their siblings, ages 3 through middle school. We look forward to serving and loving families and caregivers impacted by disability, within our church, as well as, our community. Currently, we do have a waiting list for families, but please contact us if you are interested in participating in this event, as a volunteer or a family with special needs.

When your loved one is on the campus of our church, his or her safety is our top priority. That’s why we work very hard to have plans in place in the event of an emergency, like a fire or tornado.
